Celebrating 35 Years of Service to Women & Girls in Washington County
Beth Zentmeyer Harvey brings extensive experience in politics, advocacy, and foreign affairs to the Washington County Commission for Women.
Beth has unique experience having worked in Congress, the White House, Hollywood and two war zones. As an Adviser to the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, she directed Joint Meetings of Congress and public events including the historic visit of Pope Francis. She coordinated legislative policy and strategy in The White House for President George W. Bush, and following three deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, served as the Chief of Staff of the Iraq desk at the U.S. Department of State.
Most recently Beth worked as the Executive Director of The Congressional Club Museum & Foundation in Washington, D.C. where she coordinated national philanthropic activities for Spouses of Members of Congress, the President’s Cabinet and U.S. Supreme Court. She is also a member of The Women's Club of Hagerstown in Hagerstown, MD.
Beth holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Minor in Leadership from the University of South Florida and a Graduate Degree in Public Relations from the University of Virginia. Beth is a graduate of Boonsboro High School.
