Elise Weber

Commissioner

Elise Weber brings years of experience in communication and child advocacy to the Washington County Commission for Women. 


Elise is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) working with children in the foster care system. She serves on the board of the Women’s Club of Hagerstown and is a board member at her local church, where she is involved in religious education. Elise also volunteers with Micah’s Backpack, a program designed to feed hungry students through a partnership between elementary schools and churches/organizations in the community.


Elise is passionate about publicizing and celebrating the achievements of women in the local community, providing role models for young girls, and celebrating the citizens of Washington County.


Elise holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Beaver College, and a Masters in Library and Information Science from Drexel University.

It’s important to support local women and girls where they are and to increase opportunities for their social and economic development.
